We are seeking a dedicated Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. If you have a strong background in negotiating, possess excellent phone etiquette, and are skilled in revenue cycle management, we want to hear from you.
**Responsibilities:**
- Contact individuals who have outstanding debt through phone calls and emails
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with patients and their parents
- Update account status records and collection efforts
- Perform account analysis to determine the best course of action
- Utilize accounting software for tracking and managing accounts
- Collaborate with team members on challenging cases
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in collections, preferably in medical collections
- Familiarity with debits, credits, and financial principles
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively
- Proficiency in using accounting software for collection purposes
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
